Dear LATIN HORRORphiles:
In our quest to ensure that the Latin horror movement seed begins to bear fruit, we are designing a series of advertisements entitled GET YOUR HORROR ON! designed to bring more like-mind folk into the ranks of the revolution.
When time allows, please take a moment and check out the first one we are releasing starting today. Of course, feedback is always welcome. And since this is an entirely grassroots effort, word-of-mouth is an indispensable part of making this a successful publicity push. So please pass it on to your fellow "dark creative expressionists" or anyone else you know who simply is a fan of horror.

Thanks so much for the ongoing support.

The first photo of award-winning actress, SALMA HAYEK in Paul Weitz' "CIRQUE DU FREAK," as Truska, the bearded lady/vampire, has been released (sans the beard - go figure!): http://tinyurl.com/c37hne
The film adaptation is based on the series of young adult vampire novels of the same name by Darren Shan, Cirque du Freak tells the story of a boy (Chris Massoglia) who breaks a 200-year truce between two warring blood-sucking factions (Think GANGS OF NEW YORK meets THE LOST BOYS) after he and his best friends visit an illegal freak show, where an encounter with a alpha vampire, Larten Crepsley (John C. Reilly), and a deadly spider forces them to make life-changing choices. The cast also includes Willem Dafoe, Ken Watanabe, and Orlando Jones.
Cirque du Freak wrapped filming in New Orleans in June 2008 and will be released later this year by Universal Pictures.
LATIN HORROR will keep you appraised.

UNIVERSAL has launched a minimalist website for the highly-anticipated horror classic, THE WOLFMAN. http://www.thewolfmanmovie.com/
Oscar-winner, BENICIO DEL TORO (talk about inspired casting!) takes on the lead role of Lawrence Talbot. Oscar-winner Anthony Hopkins will play his estranged father. The re-imagined film, being helmed by Joe Johnston (Jurassic Park III, Jumanji, The Rocketeer), is set to hit screen across the U.S. on November 6, 2009.
LATIN HORROR ( http://www.latinhorror.com/ ) will provide an early update on the film, currently in post-production, in our March 2009 online issue, complete with all the excitement and rumors floating in the fan-base ether. LATIN HORROR will post the film's trailer as soon as it is made available and publish an in-depth review of the project when press screenings are held.
